To become a PADI Rescue Diver you must complete the Emergency First Response Course (CPR & First Aid) or have a valid EFR certification from another organization. The Rescue Diver course will teach you excellent self-rescue and distressed diver rescue skills, the course greatly improves your abilities as a diver.
Internationally recognized qualification: Rescue Diver Skills and Procedures
Online Learning: 8 hours
Practical Application: 2 (they do not need to be consecutive days)
Prerequisite: Emergency First Response certificate (valid within 24months)

The PADI Rescue course consists of three phases:
1. Knowledge Development

3. Open Water Dives
•You will apply all the knowledge and skills you have learnt in an open water environment, including learning to calm distressed divers, search for missing divers and surface a missing diver
