To become a PADI Rescue Diver you must complete the Emergency First Response Course (CPR & First Aid) or have a valid EFR certification from another organization. The Rescue Diver course will teach you excellent self-rescue and distressed diver rescue skills, the course greatly improves your abilities as a diver.

  • Internationally recognized qualification: Rescue Diver Skills and Procedures

  • Online Learning: 8 hours

  • Practical Application: 2 (they do not need to be consecutive days)

  • Prerequisite: Emergency First Response certificate (valid within 24months)

The PADI Rescue course consists of three phases:

1. Knowledge Development

2. Pool Sessions

  • •Practice rescue techniques

3. Open Water Dives

  • •You will apply all the knowledge and skills you have learnt in an open water environment, including learning to calm distressed divers, search for missing divers and surface a missing diver

  • •The course ends with a Final Scenario - this is ‘Seriously Fun’!
